Serving this out to the world: Serena Williams caught my attention from the minute I saw her play. All these years I tried never to miss a match. Evident in her were qualities of an up and coming passionate leader. She inspired me tremendously with her striving and display of will power at a young age to detach, observe, balance, and master her physical, emotional, and mental bodies in the face of great success and seeming defeats. Year after year she consistently demonstrated incredible grace, humor, joy, femininity, and a fiery independent sexy creative freedom. She raised the bar of freedom of expression and the ability to manifest diversity. All this while internally suffering from family crises and relentless malicious attacks intent on damaging her career. She is a hero to me.
